THANK YOU LARRY for bringing some real information and some serious commentary into this discussion.

This morning, when I woke up, pundits were suggesting that this election marked the biggest voter turn-out in the USA in 90 years -- since women got the right to vote.

This suggests to me that this was at last the Civil Rights vote come to life. And not on a civil rights matter. Perhaps in the 21st century people are recognizing that the colour of a person's skin and the texture of a person's hair are not fundamental to that person's existence or right to be anything in the world. And maybe that will trickle down to us ourselves and free us Bahamians up enough for us to create a country we can believe in.
