"Civic education ....is... about ... rights and duties as members of a commonweal, and that these rights and obligations are reciprocal in nature. As citizens, our freedoms never come as the proverbial free lunch. They are protected by eternal vigilance and ongoing struggle."

This is excellent. The advice and outlook of this article needs to be adopted today.
