Desiree Gibson

Thank you for the discussion of Sammie Swain. My mother, Pandora Gibson-Gomez, performed in both the original and the revived version when both E. Clement Bethel and Winston Saunders were involved.

I do believe Sammie Swain is a masterpiece.

I feel privileged to have the experience of the old Folklore show back in my childhood and great works like Sammie Swain. These works by the late Greats, are my identity.

My admiration to Nicolette and all who were involved.

Is Granberry's book available locally?
With regard to The Legend of Sammie Swain, it was a fabulous production. Hopefully people will rally around and help them pay the deficit so we can see it again in a year or two.
Maybe it can be hosted by one of the hotels for our tourists to see as well.
